Job Opportunity: Post-doctor in Environmental Economics

News: May 29, 2019

The Department of Economics offers a position as post-doctor in environmental economics. Last day of application is 18 June.

The Environmental Economics Unit is an exciting and dynamic research group with a large number of projects on environment and natural resources. The focus of our work is on policy instrument design or valuation. We work closely with behavioral, experimental and development economics.

The position mainly involves research, but there may also be some teaching/supervision assignments (max. 20%). The research is on environmental economics, with a focus on empirical evaluation of environmental policies in agriculture, biodiversity and chemical management. It is co-funded by the research program BECC on climate change - particularly forestry and land use, and by the FRAM Centre for Future Chemical Risk Assessment and Management Strategies at the University of Gothenburg. The candidate is expected to contribute to the research within BECC and FRAM, and to participate in research meetings, seminars and conferences.

We expect candidates to aim at publishing in leading or highly ranked journals. There will be funds available for travel and shorter visits to other universities, as well as support for conducting empirical studies.
