About Ylenia Brilli

I am an applied microeconomist, with research interests in family, education and health.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Gothenburg, Center for Health Economics (CHEGU). Before joining the University of Gothenburg, I was a Max Weber fellow at the European University Institute. In March 2013, I obtained a PhD in Economics from the Catholic University Milan. During my PhD, I spent research periods at New York University and at the Center for Household, Income, Labor and Demographic Economics (CHILD) - Collegio Carlo Alberto.

My research focuses on the relationship between health and human capital, and looks at the effects of family and schooling investments on children's health and development, and adolescents' behavior, by using both structural and reduced form econometric methods.

You can see more about my research here.
