All students and employees at the University of Gothenburg are to have equal rights and opportunities. According to the Discrimination Act , the University must prevent discrimination and promote equal rights and opportunities for students and employees irrespective of gender, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age.
