Environment for Development Initiative

The Environment for Development Initiative (EfD) is a capacity building programme established in 2007 by parts of the Environmental Economics Group. It is a network for cross-country research collaborations, research-policy interaction and academic training.

EfD has by now a dozen centers around the world, with overall objective to support poverty alleviation and sustainable development in policy processes, particularly in developing countries. The EfD Secretariat and administrative functions are hosted by the Swedish center, located at the Department of Economics.
